Overall, Crocodile remains the number one leader in the cement adhesive and grout market, holding over 50% market share for a long time. The cement adhesive and grout market in the country is valued at 4,400 million baht in 2024, and we continue to grow strongly with over 3,000 distributors in Thailand and abroad."
"In 2024, Crocodile achieved a sales growth of 6% while the overall market contracted by -2% to -3%, according to Krungsri Research. This reflects our success in expanding our customer base, developing products that meet demand, and improving internal processes to become an efficient organization moving towards carbon neutrality in the future. Currently, the tile adhesive product group (cement adhesive and grout) has grown by 5%, accounting for 70% of sales, while the construction chemicals product group has grown by 15%, accounting for 20% of sales, and Crocodile paint (SEE JORAKAY) has grown by 35%, representing 10% of sales." Mr. Supapong emphasized.
In the past year, Crocodile has shaken up the construction industry with its construction chemicals product group, particularly in flooring, featuring new innovations of international quality and environmental consciousness, such as "Crocodile Road Fix Express" - a thin-layer mortar for repairing concrete road surfaces, which won the Best Innovation Award 2024 at the architect event and the "Best Innovativeness Green Product" award at SETA 2024. Additionally, Crocodile launched the "Jorakay Green Pack" - an environmentally friendly cement adhesive packaging innovation, revolutionizing the cement adhesive industry with the "Dustless Technology" unique to Thailand, applied to all 8 Crocodile cement adhesive products, reducing dust dispersion by 80%. Furthermore, Crocodile is aggressively entering the Thai paint market with SEE JORAKAY products, having grandly opened the SEE JORAKAY Flagship Store at the end of 2024 and launched two new paint models. Crocodile is also the first manufacturer in Thailand to be certified under the new version of TIS 2703-2566 at the "special quality level," the highest certification standard for cement adhesive products and the industrial standard for ceramic tile grout (TIS 2892-2563). In terms of sustainability, Crocodile has implemented solar panel installations at its factory and distribution center in Saraburi and at its headquarters in Bangkok, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 606 tons of CO2 per year and replacing 30% of the electricity used by the company annually.
"In 2025, we aim for a growth of 10%, with 90% from the domestic market and 10% from international markets, focusing on expanding the construction chemicals product group and SEE JORAKAY interior and exterior paint products, marketing to target groups, enhancing distribution channels both in Thailand and abroad through over 3,000 stores and online platforms, developing partnerships, and expanding international markets, especially in CLMV. Our continuous growth reinforces that innovation and sustainability are no longer options but essential tools for driving business and society forward. We believe that 'true success' must be measured by the positive impact we create for the world in the long term," Mr. Supapong emphasized.
Dr. Jirath Sirichalermpong, Senior Assistant Managing Director of Crocodile Corporation Co., Ltd. shared that the company is entering its 33rd year under the vision of "Sustainable Building Innovation" while continuing to focus on elevating the Thai construction industry through quality construction innovations that are safe for health and environmentally friendly. "In this era, construction materials must meet more than just 'strength' but must also be 'smart, safe, and sustainable'. Therefore, we aim to develop new products under the concept of Jorakay Innovation & Expert Solution by utilizing market insights combined with research and development to design products that meet both functional and health needs. Regarding the Thai construction materials market trends in 2025, according to the Economic and Business Research Center of Siam Commercial Bank (SCB EIC), there are signs of recovery from large-scale construction projects in both public and private sectors. It is expected that public construction in 2025 will grow by 3% to reach 856,000 million baht, while the private sector will grow by 1% to 586,000 million baht. The demand for construction materials is expected to grow by 4-5% due to support from electric train projects, motorways, housing projects, and renovations, especially after the earthquake."
In the past 5 years, the company has consistently invested in R&D and new product development, with a testing laboratory certified by national standards and strengthened by a team of experts to create new product groups such as dust-reducing cement adhesives, low VOC paints, and health-promoting coatings that enhance living quality.
Regarding international market expansion, Dr. Jirath revealed that the construction materials market in the CLMV countries has high growth potential due to investments in infrastructure, the expansion of the real estate sector, and the demand for environmentally friendly construction materials, especially in Vietnam and Cambodia, where mass transit systems, ports, and airports are being developed. Crocodile continues to strategically penetrate the CLMV market, currently generating about 10% of revenue from abroad and aims to increase it to 15% within the next 2 years through strategies that build local partnerships and adapt products to fit each country's context. "In CLMV, we are not just looking at selling products but building a 'regional business base' that relies on deep understanding, strategic adaptation, and long-term brand building. We have planned to expand our retail network in collaboration with major construction projects in key markets such as Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.”
Crocodile aims to drive the organization to become a leader in construction innovation that meets the needs of modern living through 4 main strategies: 1) Core Market Reinforcement - Strengthening the domestic market, especially among middle to upper-level customers, and developing projects with major developers; 2) Innovation-Led Portfolio Expansion - Increasing the proportion of innovative products that meet the trends of Well-being & Green Living, aiming for innovative products to account for 30% within 3 years; 3) Regional Growth Acceleration - Focusing on expanding revenue in the CLMV market, targeting 15% of foreign revenue by 2027; and 4) Brand Trust & Sustainability Positioning - Elevating to a Purpose-Driven Brand that consumers trust for quality, safety, and sustainability.
Recently, Crocodile announced a significant milestone towards Net Zero for the first time. Dr. Jirath revealed that "Crocodile aims for Carbon Neutrality by 2050 and will be an organization with net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065 under the Jorakay Sustainability Framework, which aims to reduce environmental impacts and promote quality of life through the principles of 3P: Green Process (We can live), Green Planet (The world is well), and Green People (Society is happy), driven by the 5SD strategy that encompasses reducing CO2 emissions, waste and pollutants, increasing the proportion of environmentally friendly products, and supporting activities that promote quality of life. Currently, Crocodile has sales of Green Products accounting for 63% of total products. In the past, we have been a leader in construction materials driven by innovation.
